We couldn’t be happier to announce that Seattle’s Daguerreotypes will release their Tropical Trust EP on Auger Down on May 20th. In addition, we will digitally re-release Daguerreotypes 2005 full-length Hold the Phone… It’s Daguerreotypes. A band bio, a track download, and images are available here.

We are very pleased to announce the newest addition to the Auger Down roster - Seattle’s Daguerreotypes. We will be releasing their Tropical Trust EP on May 20th, as well as a digitally reissuing 2005’s Hold the Phone… Daguerreotypes will hit the road this spring in support of Tropical Trust. Auger Down will release Fior Fiero’s The Satellite EP on August 28th. The duo is previewing the four tracks from the EP on their myspace page, www.myspace.com/fiorfiero. Fior Fiero will also have a show on August 1 at the North Star Bar in Philadelphia.

After many months of touring, a lot of bad Axel Foley jokes, and countless people saying “dark side of the what?” when we told them our band name, Dark Side of the Cop is retiring. We had a good run. We’ll still be making new music but it won’t synch up to anything and there will be no more hidden Mikey Tandino references. Roger and Marco will be making new music under the name Fior Fiero, and we’ll be putting out a new EP on Auger Down this spring. We’d like to thank Ty, Joe, Claire and everyone else who worked on DSOTC and especially everyone that came to see us play.

Dark Side of the Cop will be appearing at CMJ in New York for a showcase and a Fanatic Promotions party. We’ll have exact dates soon. Dark Side of the Cop recently made the top 3 in CMJ’s airplay list for self-released albums.
